On Monday 23rd August, digital currency Bitcoin surpassed $50,000 for the first time since the big drop in price in May this year. Some people predicted the recovery of the price of Bitcoin, as the latter was trading roughly between $30,000 and $40,000 over the last few months.
Right now, Bitcoin is trading at a price of $50,247.47, 2.16% up for the last 24 hours and 7.75% up for the past week, with a total market value in circulation of $944.36 billion, according to CoinDesk.
