Microsoft’s PC Health Check app will help you check if your PC meets the system requirements for Windows 11. The app was taken down shortly after its release due to people’s reports that it wouldn’t tell you why your PC was not compatible and failed the test. Now, the app is available for download again and the new version of the Health Check app will tell you if your PC meets the requirements to run Windows 11, and if it doesn’t, it will provide you support and offer you more detailed descriptions of problems and solutions.
According to Microsoft in order your PC to meet the minimal requirements for Windows 11 to be installed properly on it, you would need 64-bit CPU with at least 2 cores and 1 GHz clock speed, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of minimal internal storage and the TPM 2.0 would need to be enabled via the BIOS settings if supported.
Still, there will be PCs that meet the basic requirements but won’t be supported by Windows 11 and that’s because some of previous generation CPUs from Intel and Ryzen are having issues with Windows 11. Microsoft is saying that they are working on fixing this issue. Windows 11 will be available for eligible PCs on Oct. 5.
